The Breath

I have this idea in my head
about holding my breath
I held my breath underwater in the hot tub one night
for about 45 seconds the first time and 50 the second time

and I wanted to fall asleep on the bottom
green, golden green, blue bubbles
warmth sensation tears
it was all there

So this idea
about holding my breath
I want to resurface
I think
with my life re-stretched like a canvas
I'm looking for the sea, the pool, the pond
the warm, wetness of your eyes
